Suggested question(s):

  • How far did the ball roll?

Estimate.  Make two more estimates – one that you know is too high, the other should be one that you know is too low.

Students share their strategies and solutions.  Compare strategies as well as solutions.

How reasonable was your estimate?  What might you do differently when you are presented with a similar problem?

    1. It is a cool toy and I knew when we got it that I would find a way to use it for a lesson. Had to keep the dog away to make this. She loves sphero!
